Bar-Mitzvah Trailer Alexander Schpilberg
In this great pause that we are all experiencing, many things have had to either be postponed or cancelled. But for this special family, nothing was going to stand in the way of this celebration. Alexander’s calm and ease in which he conducted the ceremony was a direct reflection of his dedication and preparation for this day. It was an intimate gathering in person, but virually, hundreds joined with the use of Zoom and Facebook live. Homemade details represented the work of all the Schpilies. Elbow taps replaced hugs, empty spaces between everyone marked the importance of social distancing, masks covered smiles.... but nothing detracted from the simcha, pride and nachas of that day. On the contrary, there was something immensely symbolic and meaningful about the choice to celebrate despite the circumstances, gather despite the forced distance, rejoice even if together by a different definition. Mazal tov to Alexander and the Schpilberg Family for reminding us all about the true essence and meaning of this milestone.
